The Clare-Gladwin RESD CTE Education Occupations class has been busy learning and having field trips over the last month to promote growth and understanding in their field. Students have visited: Ferris State University, Saginaw Valley State University and Western Michigan University. Throughout these experiences students participated in breakout sessions, campus tours and engaged in leadership activities.

The Clare-Gladwin RESD is pleased to announce that employee DeVonna Haskell has received the Michigan DataHub Award for her outstanding contributions to data stewardship. As an ISD/RESA Data Steward champion, DeVonna has played a vital role in promoting the adoption and growth of functionality with the MiDataHub. DeVonna's hard work and dedication have led to significant improvements in data quality assurances for our local districts.

Yesterday evening the Clare-Gladwin RESD CTE programs hosted their bi-annual Advisory Committee meeting at the Magnus Center. Each advisory committee provides valuable insight into current industry practices and also guidance for each program on equipment purchases and work-based learning opportunities. Additionally, in customary fashion, our Culinary Arts program prepared the dinner for all guests and had several capable student workers to help make the evening a success.

CTE pulls much of its relevance from our industry stakeholders. Each CTE program has people from business and industry that devote their time and talent through providing direct insight into what is currently happening in each respective discipline.
