GLADWIN COUNTY RESOURCES RELATED TO FLOODING:

Gladwin County residents call 2-1-1 for the following:

  • Damage to your property – When contacting 2-1-1, please notify them if your loss is a residence or a seasonal home.
  • Food/clothing/toiletries
  • Shelter
  • Loss of medications due to flood

FEMA is currently doing a virtual survey of the damage and damage assessment teams are working.

Consumers Energy has issued guidelines to handle the restoration of electricity and gas. For your safety, please follow these guidelines to avoid injury or death.

The Gladwin County Road Commission is working around the clock to restore roadways for residents. The listing of closed roads changes hourly. Please contact the Road Commission at 989-426-7441 for further information. The Highwood, Estey, Secord, and M30 bridges will be closed for an undetermined length of time. DO NOT walk onto or attempt to cross the bridges. The mentioned roadways are deemed unsafe. Individuals are asked to please observe the closures and stay off any roadways/bridges marked CLOSED for their safety.

Central Michigan District Health Department (cmdhd.org) has information from the CDC on flood issues and safety on your property. If your house has been flooded, cleanup with safety glassed, gloves, boots and a mask.

There will be more information coming soon on the proper disposable of refuge and drop off locations for large items.
