Course Overview
Manufacturing is an ever-evolving industry that continues to seek skilled, qualified workers. The AIM program prepares students for careers in manufacturing by focusing on materials, design, safety and technical skill development.
Students develop:
Manufacturing and machining skills
Workplace and teamwork skills
Problem-solving and critical thinking
Leadership and communication skills
Experience using modern manufacturing technologies
Hands-on learning takes place in both classroom and laboratory settings at Mid Michigan College’s Technical Center.

Program Schedule
A.M. Session:
8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Learning Environment
Students split time between classroom instruction and hands-on learning in the AIM lab at Mid Michigan College’s Technical Center.
Second-Year Requirements
Students returning should:
Maintain a 2.0 GPA or above
Have strong attendance
Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility
Maintain positive classroom behavior
Show interest in manufacturing careers



Students may earn:
Dual enrollment college credit through Mid Michigan College
High school credit
Fourth-year math-related credit
Potential Algebra 2 credit (with local district approval)
CTE Certificate of Completion
