Notice is given hereby that: Clare Gladwin Regional Education Service District will accept bids from qualified contractors for the renovation of the data center at:
James C. McNamara Administration Building

according to Drawings and Specifications prepared by:
Peter Basso Associates, Inc.

Including, but not limited to: Renovation of the existing data room at the Administration building. Scope includes demolition/removal of the existing 8 ton data room AC unit, condenser, all associated ductwork in the attic space, and removal air outlets in the data room ceiling. New work includes installation of two new 6 ton upflow data room air conditioning units inside the existing data room and new ductwork distribution system in the attic. The data center must remain operational during construction. All data room IT equipment must be protected from demolition/construction procedures, and the data room must be cooled with temporary cooling equipment during demolition/construction.
Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Clare Gladwin Regional Education Service District, Superintendents Office, 4041 E. Mannsiding, Clare, Michigan, 48617, until 2:00 pm Monday, November 18th, 2019. At that time, bids will be publicly opened. Bids received after the date and time specified will be returned to the bidder, unopened.
Pre-bid conference shall be held 10:00 am Monday, November 11, at the site: James C. McNamara Administration Building, 4041 E. Mannsiding
Clare, Michigan, 48617.
Bids will be taken on a lump sum basis as defined on the Bid Form. Bids shall be accompanied by bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount. Bids shall be by one prime Contractor.
100% Surety Bonds for performance and payment of labor and materials are required.
Bid interviews will be held on November 19, after 12pm. More details will follow once bids are received.
Bid Documents will be available after 4:00 pm, on November 4, 2019 at www.cgresd.net (click on “RFP”), or SIGMA www.michigan.gov/SIGMAVSS where you can view and download both drawings and specifications for this project at no cost.
A "Notice of Award of Contract" will be issued Thursday, November 21 following the Boards approval meeting the previous day. Contractor is encouraged to proceed with material and equipment submittals at that time. Onsite work may commence starting December 1, 2019 and to substantially complete the project by April 30, 2020. Substantially complete as defined that the District may use for its intended purpose.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularity in the bidding or the bidding process and accept the bid that is most advantageous to the Owner.
