Homeless Education
Federal, State, and Local Strategic Plans: Network of Partners
Ending homelessness is a very difficult goal to reach. It will not be achieved by a single agency. That's why Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) works with a wide network of partners to provide affordable housing options. These groups include public, private, for-profit, and non-profit organizations (Michigan's Campaign to End Homelessness).
Interagency Council on Homelessness includes the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). The MDE's Office of Field Services McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Program's Grant Coordinators represent and participate with their regional Continuum of Care.
The Grant Coordinator of Clare, Gladwin, and Midland counties represents and participates with Region 5: East Central Michigan's Clare-Gladwin Continuum of Care and Midland Continuum of Care.
