About:The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) network was designed to allow school district students and staff the ability to bring in their personally owned devices and use the school's wireless Internet connection. Due to the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requirements, all Internet access must be filtered for appropriate content use. All Internet content accessed on the school district Internet connection is filtered using a proxy server. Any device that does not support a transparent proxy server will not work on the school network.
It is the responsibility of the owner of the device to connect to the BYOD wireless network. Please note that some web-based school district resources such as Skyward, Powerschool and GroupWise WebAccess are available on the BYOD network. Also, other resources such as printing are not available due to security restrictions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.How to use the BYOD Network:To use the BYOD network, first connect to the BYOD network using your device's wireless network setting. Your device may open up a login page or if not, open up an Internet browser, you should then be redirected to a login page. A login prompt will appear, use your school provided login name and password. Once logged in the first time per device, your session will remain active without having to login again until August 1st of the following year. You are able to register up to 5 devices. If you need to register more devices, please contact the help desk for assistance. You will have the same Internet access as you do when accessing the Internet from a school provided desktop, laptop, Chromebook or iPad.
Wireless devices currently NOT yet supported on the BYOD wireless network:
As these devices upgrade their operating systems allowing for transparent proxy access, they will be supported.
